NOLA Funk Fest is thrilled to announce its return in October 2024. Building on the success of the first festival, this year's event promises to bring even more energy, excitement and funk to New Orleans the weekend of October 18-20. 

NOLA Funk Fest is a public-facing preview of The Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience (LMHE), a forthcoming museum of grand scale dedicated to the preservation of the state’s rich musical history to educate and inspire! See www.lmhe.live.

Last year, NOLA Funk Fest saw a strong turnout, as music lovers from across the country and the world flocked to New Orleans for a weekend of electric performances and cultural experiences. The Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew exhibit is still open to visitors at The New Orleans Jazz Museum until September. Building on the success of last year, NOLA Funk Fest 2024 will have an exciting lineup of artists and more immersive cultural experiences, including symposia and a brand new exhibition on Louisiana Blues.

‘I Found My Thrill: The Music and Artistry of Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew’ is jointly curated by Bob Santelli (curator of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the three GRAMMY museums and five other music museums as well as author of numerous books on music history), David Kunian (New Orleans Jazz Museum curator and musicologist) and Cilista Eberle and Michael Murphy (award winning documentary filmmakers who filmed Jazz Fest for 25 years). After the 11-month run at The New Orleans Jazz Museum, ‘I Found My Thrill: The Music and Artistry of Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew’ exhibit will travel to other Louisiana museums.
